How to Set Up Your Email on a Phone

Reading your business email on your phone keeps you responsive. With the right settings from cPanel, your iPhone or Android syncs cleanly in a couple of minutes.

Get the correct settings

In cPanel’s Email Accounts, use Connect Devices to see your incoming and outgoing server names, ports and security settings. These are what your phone needs — copying them exactly avoids most setup errors.

Choose IMAP

Set up the account as IMAP, not POP, so the same mailbox stays in sync across your phone, computer and webmail. Read or delete a message on one device and it updates everywhere.

Fix common issues

If sending fails, it’s usually the outgoing (SMTP) port or authentication setting. Make sure outgoing authentication is on and the secure ports match what cPanel listed. Our support can confirm the right values.
