To keep our servers fast and safe for everyone, all customers agree to use our Services responsibly. This Policy forms part of our Terms of Service.

This Acceptable Usage Policy (the “Policy”) sets out the rules for using the Services provided by DelhiHosting.com. Its purpose is to protect our customers, our network and the wider internet, and to keep our shared infrastructure fast, stable and secure for everyone. This Policy forms part of, and is governed by, our Terms of Service. By using any Service you agree to follow this Policy. If you are unsure whether something you plan to do is permitted, please ask us first at support@delhihosting.com before proceeding.
We assess possible breaches reasonably and in good faith, taking account of the risk to our network and to other customers. We act as the arbiter of whether a particular use breaches this Policy, and the examples given here are illustrative rather than exhaustive — conduct not specifically listed may still be a breach if it is harmful, unlawful or abusive. Where we can do so safely, we will discuss a concern with you before acting; where the risk is serious, we may act immediately.
Hosting Services are to be used through your registered domain name. After your Account is set up, you should point your domain to the details we provide, normally within 24 hours, so the Service works correctly. For security reasons we may not permit direct access by IP address in place of the domain. Keeping your domain correctly configured is your responsibility.
You must not use our Services to host, store, transmit or link to material that is unlawful under Indian law or that we reasonably consider harmful. Prohibited content includes, without limitation: material that infringes copyright, trademarks or other intellectual property; child sexual abuse material; content that is obscene, defamatory, or incites hatred or violence; fraudulent or deceptive material including phishing pages; malware or other malicious code; and content that promotes illegal activity. Accounts hosting such material may be suspended immediately and without prior notice.
You must not use the Services to compromise systems or networks, whether ours or third parties’. This includes, without limitation: unauthorised access or attempts to access (“hacking”); port scanning or vulnerability probing without permission; denial-of-service or distributed denial-of-service activity; spoofing of headers, addresses or identities; distributing malware; cryptocurrency mining on shared hosting; and running public proxies, anonymisers, IRC servers, torrent trackers or similar high-risk services on shared plans.
Our email services are intended for ordinary day-to-day correspondence, not for mass mailing. Sending unsolicited bulk or commercial email (“spam”) is strictly prohibited, whether the mail originates from our network or merely advertises a site hosted on it.
As a working rule, we treat mail of identical or similar content sent to five or more external recipients — or the same message sent five or more times to a single external address — as bulk mail that does not belong on our standard email service. Deliberately splitting a large mailing into smaller batches to get around this rule is itself a breach. Automated sending (for example from web forms or transactional scripts) should be arranged through an appropriate service, not our standard mailboxes.
You must only email people who have genuinely opted in, honour unsubscribe requests promptly, and observe your plan’s sending limits. Repeated bulk-mail attempts may lead to a mailbox being disabled, and severe or repeated abuse may lead to suspension of email for the entire sending domain. We recommend configuring SPF, DKIM and DMARC for good deliverability.
Open-source applications such as WordPress, Joomla and similar content management systems are powerful but, when neglected, are the leading cause of compromised websites. For this reason, on shared hosting we host such software only where you commit to keeping it updated at regular intervals — including the core application, themes and plugins. Outdated, unpatched installations may be suspended to protect the wider server. Our Managed WordPress plans remove this burden by handling updates and security patching for you.
Shared hosting is designed for normal website workloads and runs on a fair-use basis so that no single Account degrades performance for others. Processes that place excessive or sustained load on shared CPU, memory, disk I/O, inodes or database resources may be limited, optimised or, where necessary, asked to move to a VPS or dedicated server. We may set reasonable limits on resource usage to maintain the speed and reliability of the service for everyone. Wherever practical we will contact you before acting, except where immediate intervention is needed.
You are responsible for the security of your own Account, including strong, unique passwords, keeping applications and scripts patched, and removing software you no longer use. If an Account is compromised and begins to endanger other customers or our network — for example by sending spam or serving malware — we may suspend it pending clean-up. Imunify360 protection and malware scanning run across our servers, but they supplement rather than replace your own good practices.
You must hold the necessary rights to all content you host, and it is your responsibility to resolve any dispute concerning intellectual property associated with your website. If we receive a credible complaint that content on your Account infringes someone’s rights or breaches this Policy, we may ask you to address it and may remove or disable access to the material where appropriate. We may also investigate stored content and related records where potential abuse is brought to our attention. Repeated or serious infringement may lead to suspension or termination.
We expect courteous dealings. Any threat or abuse — whether spoken, written or otherwise communicated — directed at DelhiHosting.com, Incyber Media and Technologies, its proprietor, employees, consultants or equipment, is treated as a breach of this Policy and may result in suspension or termination of Services, without refund.
If you resell or provide our Services to your own customers or end users, you are responsible for their compliance with this Policy as if it were your own conduct. You must ensure your customers are bound by terms at least as protective as these, and you must act promptly on any abuse originating from accounts under your management.
Where this Policy is breached, we may — depending on severity and our assessment of risk — issue a warning; filter, throttle or limit a Service; suspend it temporarily; or terminate it. We may also terminate for abusive conduct, non-payment of recurring Fees, violation of third-party licences, or the customer’s insolvency. On termination, your data may be deleted and any copies on our backup systems overwritten, and we have no obligation to supply data before or after your services expire as recorded in our billing. A reconnection fee may apply where a Service is restored after suspension. No refund is due for Services suspended or terminated for a breach.
Enforcement of this Policy is a protective measure for our network and customers. To the extent permitted by law, our liability in connection with any action taken under this Policy, or with any interruption, corruption or loss of data, is limited as set out in our Terms of Service, and your sole remedy for a Service issue is termination of the affected Service.
If you become aware of spam, hacking, phishing, malware or any other activity on our network that breaches this Policy, please report it to support@delhihosting.com with as much detail as possible. We investigate every report and take appropriate action.
We may update this Policy from time to time to address new risks or reflect changes in our Services or the law. The current version is always published on this page with its effective date, and your continued use of the Services constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
