Running a current PHP version makes your site faster and more secure. cPanel lets you switch versions per domain in a few clicks.
Newer PHP releases are significantly faster and receive security fixes, while old versions are slower and eventually unsupported. Keeping current improves performance and keeps your site safe.
Open MultiPHP Manager, select the domain, choose a supported PHP version, and apply. The change takes effect immediately for that site.
Very old themes, plugins or scripts may not support the newest PHP. Test your site after switching, ideally on staging first. If something breaks, step back one version and update the offending component.
