SSL gives you the padlock, https:// and visitor trust β and itβs free on our hosting. Hereβs how to enable it on WordPress and avoid the common pitfalls.
Most plans issue SSL automatically via AutoSSL, so your certificate may already be active. Check the SSL/TLS section of cPanel. If itβs not, AutoSSL can usually issue one within minutes for your domain.
In Settings β General, make sure both the WordPress Address and Site Address use https://. This tells WordPress to load everything securely. Update these before forcing a redirect.
Redirect all traffic to https:// and update any hard-coded http links or images so nothing loads insecurely. A simple plugin or an .htaccess rule handles the redirect; a search-replace fixes old links.
Activate SSL (free on our plans), switch your WordPress URLs to https, force the redirect and clear mixed content β done.
