cPanel’s Redirects tool sends one URL or domain to another — useful for moved pages, alternate domains, or pointing an old address to a new one.
Use a redirect when content has permanently moved, or when an extra domain should send visitors to your main site. A permanent (301) redirect also passes SEO value to the destination.
In Redirects, choose the domain or path to redirect, enter the destination URL, and pick permanent (301) for moves. cPanel writes the rule for you, so you don’t have to edit files by hand.
Redirects change the address in the browser to the destination; aliasing (parking) shows the same site under multiple domains without changing the URL. Pick based on whether you want the URL to change.
The Redirects tool sends old URLs or domains to a new destination — choose 301 for permanent moves to keep your SEO.
