How to Install an SSL Certificate With AutoSSL

31 Mar 2026 · 4 min read · DelhiHosting Team

SSL secures your site and shows the padlock. With AutoSSL in cPanel, certificates are issued and renewed automatically and free — here’s how to check and use it.

How AutoSSL works

AutoSSL automatically issues a free certificate for your domains and subdomains, and renews it before it expires. On most of our plans it’s already on, so your sites are secured without you doing anything.

Check your status

In the SSL/TLS Status section, you can see which domains are covered and run AutoSSL manually if a new domain needs a certificate. Newly added domains are usually covered within minutes.

After it’s active

Once SSL is active, update your site to use https and force the redirect so every visitor gets the secure version. For most sites that’s all that’s needed for a full padlock.

Quick tips
  • AutoSSL is free and auto-renewing
  • Check coverage in SSL/TLS Status
  • Run AutoSSL for newly added domains
  • Then force https site-wide
Key takeaway

AutoSSL issues and renews free certificates automatically — check coverage in SSL/TLS Status, then force https on your site.
