How to Create an Email Distribution List

A distribution list (mailing list) sends one message to a whole group at once — handy for teams, departments or customer announcements.

What it does

Instead of typing many addresses, you email a single list address and everyone on it receives the message. It keeps group communication simple and consistent.

Create one

In cPanel’s Mailing Lists, create the list, then add members and set who can post to it. You can keep it private to your team or open it more widely depending on its purpose.

Use it responsibly

Distribution lists are for legitimate group mail, not bulk marketing — that needs a dedicated service and proper opt-in, as covered in our Acceptable Usage Policy. Keep membership current and honour removal requests.
