Heavy plugins, big page builders and large sites sometimes need more memory than WordPress allows by default. Raising the PHP memory limit prevents crashes and blank screens.
Symptoms of low memory include a white screen, "allowed memory size exhausted" errors, or a sluggish admin. These mean WordPress hit its memory ceiling mid-task and gave up.
On our hosting, use cPanel’s MultiPHP INI Editor to increase the memory_limit value, or define WP_MEMORY_LIMIT in wp-config.php. A limit of 256M suits most sites; very heavy sites may need more.
If you constantly need more memory, a bloated plugin or theme is often the real cause. Investigate what’s consuming it rather than endlessly increasing the limit.
Raise the PHP memory limit to stop crashes on heavy sites — but if you keep needing more, find the plugin that’s eating it.
