How to Add an Addon Domain in cPanel

30 Apr 2026 · 4 min read · DelhiHosting Team

An addon domain lets you host a completely separate website in the same cPanel account — a cost-effective way to run several sites from one plan.

What an addon domain is

An addon domain is a second (or third) fully independent website, with its own files, email and content, living in its own folder under your account. Visitors see a separate site at its own domain.

Add it in cPanel

Open Addon Domains, enter the new domain name, and cPanel auto-fills the subdomain and folder. Create it, then point that domain’s DNS to our servers so it resolves to your account.

Manage each site

Upload each site into its own folder, create email accounts per domain, and install applications separately. Keep an eye on your plan’s limits, since all addon sites share the account’s resources.

Quick tips
  • Each addon domain is a separate site
  • Point its DNS to our servers
  • Upload it into its own folder
  • Watch shared account limits
Key takeaway

Addon domains host separate websites in one cPanel — add the domain, point its DNS, and manage each site in its own folder.
